Minutemen, inkjet print on paper, 2000.

In 2005 an American group called the Minuteman Project organized civilians to patrol the border between the US and Mexico. Volunteers carried weapons, spying devices such as telescopes and night vision technology, and used private planes and helicopters to patrol the border. In this work I turned an image from the group's web site into a black and white anaglyphic print. The image depicts a husband and wife lounging in camping chairs next to their big GMC truck. They are viewing the border with a telescope. More volunteers can be seen in the background.

The organization was dismantled later in the year by the US government.
