Cubes, inkjet prints and plastic cubes, 2000.

This site specific work was originally made for the Fine Arts Faculty Lounge at the Bezalel Academy for Art in Jerusalem. Since then it has been reproduced a few times for different locations. The piece is made of 27 clear plastic cubes. The cubes are identical in size, each being roughly the size of a golf ball. Every cube contains 6 unique images that are printed on paper, shaped into three dimensional pyramids and placed in the box. The images in the cubes are grouped into a number of different subjects that have an associative relationship to each other. One of the 27 cubes stands out among the others. This cube links the work to the surroundings. It contains 6 images that depict the location in which the work is being displayed. The images in this site specific cube present not only the specific location but also all 27 cubes as they are set within it. The site specific cube mirrors the entire work, as part of the location in which it is being viewed.
